Aims:

Provide researchers and readers worldwide with the latest information on key achievements and developments in applied environmental sciences, with the expectation that this information would contribute to scientific development. Provide a multidisciplinary forum for authoritative discussion and analysis of issues of wide interest to the international community of environmental professionals, with the intent of developing innovative solutions to environmental problems for public policy implementation, professional practice, or both.

Vision:

The first international engineering journal published in Indonesia that is to be the leading technical communication for science, research and policy relevant environmental science, engineering and management through the publication of timely and reliable scientific information.

Mission:

•An integral partner with the scientific and technical communities, delivering superior information products and services that foster communication, build insights and enable individual and collective advancement in environmental research.

•Provide environmental scientific information and the general public with descriptions of timely, contemporary advances in environmental science and engineering and management for use in improving environmental protection.

•Help scientists and researchers for publishing international peer-reviewed high-quality papers.

•Disseminate to worldwide of up-to-date information on new knowledge and developments in applied environmental sciences.

http://www.trisanita.org. Trisanita was formed as an acronym of three sanitation platforms by Sarwoko Mangkoedihardjo in 2000. It was formulated consisting of interlinked three components that were forming environmental sanitation. These were three process sciences (physics, chemistry, biology); three environmental media (soil, water-including drinking water, air); three living resources (plants, animals, humans); three contaminant carriers (wastewater, solid waste, waste gases); three sanitation goals (clean, healthy, safety); three social behavior (knowledge, attitude, practice). These were minimum platform dedicated to scientific integrity in promoting the world quality of applied sciences and delivering innovative solution of environmental sanitation by means of education, research and public services. The mission of Trisanita was undertaken through scholarly scientific journal publication. The Journal of Applied Sciences in Environmental Sanitation was created by Sarwoko Mangkoedihardjo and Ganjar Samudro on March 29, 2006. The first publication was launched in December 2006 as well as online presentation using the name of Trisanita for website management.
