Welcome to JAPES
International peer-reviewed journal published in Indonesia by Department of Environmental Engineering, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya, and Indonesian Society of Sanitary and Environmental Engineers (IATPI) Jakarta. The aim was to promote the use of plants in their ability to overcome the problem of environmental sanitation. The journal was launched on 25 May 2011, and the first issue was in January 2012.
Purpose
The purpose of this publication is to promote the use of plants in their ability to overcome the problem of environmental sanitation, which strengthens the solution of environmental problems.
Scope
The journal publishes research and review papers. The focus is on the use of plants to cope with environmental sanitation such as plants for water and wastewater treatments, waste gas absorption, plants for remediation of polluted environments, phytodrainage, phytotoxicology, plants for pollution indicators and environmental monitoring, plants for environmental protection, urban greenspace, plants for alternative energy, etc. Social-economical-cultural sciences associated with the applied phytotechnology are welcome to involve in achieving concrete results of sustainable environmental sanitation.
